Gently rolling hills, native Australian bushland and a links-style golf course set around a contemporary clubhouse form the character that is Macquarie Links International Golf Club. The par-72 championship golf course laid carefully across the rolling hills showcases the unique Australian grasslands and stands of mature gum trees found throughout.
The course is a combination of links style golf with a heathland or “bush” character. Native grasslands, stands of mature gum trees and unique “outback” site furniture provide strong Australian character. Creeks, lakes and subtle topographic formations all combine to create natural golf holes that ebb and flow with the natural lie of the land.
Macquarie Links is a Par 72 course measuring some 6,300 metres in length, but not overly long by modern standards – the course is a challenge to shot making but not a torturous test of length. Multiple tees give golfers of all standards the ability to enjoy their game with an appropriate level of challenge.
Macquarie Links - a great place to visit16 July 2020Probably one of the best value deals you can find on Greatrounds!!! Fabulous course with plenty of variety and a few ‘classic’ holes to keep the bandits honest!!
Stranded on the course23 June 2020We played at Macquarie Links last Saturday. Generally everything is great and the course is in great shape, however, Saturday was a very poor experience. We teed off around noon and the carts were not charged. The cart we had ran out of battery and died and we had to call the pro shop to come and exchange the cart. This took 20-30 minutes and a number of groups had to pass us. As such, we could not complete the round. They did, however, give us a voucher for 9 holes for next time. I can understand the unique circumstances with social distancing, etc... but hopefully next time they will improve
