First Class Golf Course
1 July 2020Gailes is always in great condition and it is a pleasure playing there. There are some difficult par 5's that require three or four good shots to make the green and some of the par 4's that you will struggle to reach the green in 3.

Gailes Golf Course
9 May 2020Played just last Friday and was surprised how busy it was. The course is in great condition (as always) with lush green fairways and smooth firm greens. I really enjoy this course as it offers a wide variety of hole layouts and lengths that challenge an ordinary golfer like me. Unfortunately there were some players ahead of us that seemed to take forever with each and every shot and then write scores down before moving on. I don't mind a leisurely game, but this had us and other players behind us, waiting ages to tee off, then playing a stop / start game and losing momentum. However it was a week day and I was playing golf, so it was still a good day. Pro-shop staff are excellent, particularly when dealing with the "isolation and distancing" issues, and we will definitely be back again soon.

Great Course
18 March 2018Even after heavy rain before the round, the course played well, there was a lot of water still about but it is a beautiful course.

Good way to spend a morning
By: Neil Spackman on 13 June 2017Played this course with a mate and had a really enjoyable round. Despite recent and heavy overnight rain the course was in great nick. The fairways are wide and inviting while the greens were true and evenly paced throughout. Pro Shop staff were happy and helpful. We will be back.

Challenging Layout
By: Dave Henry on 10 June 2017Gailes is a great course to play and is always in excellent condition. While it has a tough start with 2 par 5s, it is not out of range for a high handicapper like myself even though there at no easy holes on the course. The greatrounds offer of $59 for two with a shared cart is excellent value.
