The Deep Creek Golf Club (formerly Pakenham & District Golf Club), was established in 1980, and was originally located on the Princes Highway, Pakenham (Warragul side), approximately 60 kilometres south-east of Melbourne CBD. Since the very early days, the Pakenham and District Golf Club has established itself as a central and vital part of the local community offering more than just a golfing experience. First Designed by the Steering Committee, the course is a par 72 layout of 5924 metres, mostly Santa Anna fairways, flat and easy to walk.

In 2016, the club became part of the Deep Creek Reserve with course developments including a new clubhouse, driving range and added facilities tying in with the Deep Creek Reserve Park. While a lot has changed from the old to the new, the golf club has still remained a vital part of the local community with innovative ideas and designs.
